Dalton Gets Back to Work

A robust turnaround in the economy in Northwest Georgia continue to lead to job growth. According to the Georgia Department of Labor, metro Dalton added 1,173 jobs in 2017 and the local unemployment rate finished 2017 at 5.5 percent. Although the unemployment rate in Dalton is still in excess of the state and local average, rapid economic growth and the high likelihood of additional investment as a result of the recent tax overhaul appear to be good indicators of falling future unemployment in manufacturing heavy locales.
Greater Dalton has made a conscious choice to be a mecca for investment – the results of this choice are beginning to bear fruit and we at Barrett Properties are delighted to be playing a major role in helping this happen.
